Upgrading irrigation systems for better water efficiency, installing grassed waterways to control runoff and reduce soil erosion, installed pollinator habitat to upgrade our farm's resources.  We have also made the switch to no-till grains whenever possible and starting intensively cover cropping on open acres each winter to build our soils.  This year we are undertaking a whole farm energy audit to assess our usage (focused toward the malthouse) and make some plans on how we can be more energy efficient.  There is a lot to talk about here.

The choice to floor malt was an important one to us, one that we still make every day. We see and taste the difference of this vintage process, and more importantly we enjoy it.
